Well this will not go down as a memorable match! It was quite boring and this is something I don't say about City very often. At least the draw puts us through to the next stage and with only one game to go concentration can now go on chasing Liverpool. City had a very lucky escape early on when Ederson for once missed a clearance kick and some how Tete failed to take advantage and Fernandinho saved a certain goal. Sterling once more had a quiet game as did most of the players. Only De Bruyne who supplied a key pass for City's goal showed much form. Most of City's shots went straight to the keeper. With away games at Newcastle and Burnley to come next I hope things improve.
City once more made several changes - with Aguero injured in came Jesus. Benardo was back for Silva and Angelino was in for Mendy. Otamendi was in for Stones and Gundogan for Mahrez .
