City 1 Everton 1

To miss one penalty is unfortunate - to miss two is disgraceful! Despite having over 70% possession City could only draw against a well organized Everton defence. The 'toffees' can thank their keeper Stekelenburg for saving both penalties and other dramatic saves. After De Bruyne had his effort from the spot saved the second penalty was taken by Aguero who had come on for Iheanacho after 56 minutes. He had his shot saved just like a few days earlier when he failed to score from the spot for Argentina against Paraguay.
City started with three at the back and Bravo had little to do save pick the ball from the back of the net when Everton took a surprise lead. Almost as soon as he came on as sub Nolito headed City's equalizer from a good cross by Silva. However but for the efforts of the Everton keeper City would have has all three points as they dominated play with some fine football. It was a shame that so many vital passes just went astray.
Having been ill for the last few weeks I did not think I would make this game but fortunately I made it so it was a shame we did not get those vital three points.
With Stones,Otamendi and Clichy at the back it was an unusual City setup. Sane made his first start and Kevin was back from injury
Everton brought their usual strong support
Sane showed us some of his skills from the opening moments and almost scored himself
At a City corner Bravo was well up the field!
Everton manage to clear a City corner
Fernandinho heads clear from Lukaku
City concede a free kick for foul by Otamendi
The free kick taken by Lukaku goes over the bar
At the other end Sane goes down but no whistle
On 14 minutes a shot by De Bruyne is blocked
From the corner Fernandinho's header goes wide
Iheanacho goes close
Sterling is brought down just outside the area
Kevin De Bruyne takes the kick but the wall blocks the ball
A shot by Sterling is saved by the keeper
a header by Iheanacho is blocked
I spot a spy in the stand - top left - we play them soon!
A shot by Silva goes too high
a moment of worry when Sterling is injured
Our manager predicts the final score 1-1!!!
On 42 minutes Silva goes on a run down the left wing .......
...and he is brought down by Jagielka and the ref points to the spot!
De Bruyne takes the penalty but the keeper goes the right way and its at a good height for him to push the ball away!
Player and fans show their feelings and half time comes with no goals
A header by Stones goes wide
Deulofeu gets the ball from Bolasie and shoots at goal
...and Bravo has a shot to save tipping the ball over the bar but nothing comes from the ensuing corner
on 52 minutes the Everton keeper is in action again saving from Iheanacho
6 minutes later Otamendi's header is blocked
On 64 minutes Lukaku breaks away and shoots past Bravo to give Everton a surprise lead - disaster for City -
a lack of defenders!
Everton winning one nil- surely that's not right! -Well the Everton fans are very happy
Aguero comes on for Iheanacho and is brought down by Jagielka and it's another penalty for City
This time Aguero takes the kick but Stekelenburg makes another great save
On 71 minutes Nolito comes on for Sane and a minutes later a great cross by Silva is met by Nolito who heads past the keeper
No time for celebrations - City are level - thank God!
City continue to attack but no winning goal alas and in injury time Barry is injured
