Day 19
Antelope Canyon and Page
Day 19 and another visit to the slots this time to Upper Antelope. The entrance is some way from the road and the local Navajos have a 'bus service' that takes you to the slot entrance. I spent a couple of hours but because of its accessibility and popularity it is always crowded. Since my last visit there had been some bad floods and ten feet of sand had been washed away. This meant that the lighting conditions had changed. Alas we did not have much sun again, just enough to give some warmth to the wonderful patterns.
This impressive horseshoe bend in the Colorado River can be reached from a point on r89 a mile or so from Page. This picture is a composite of two Dimage 7 pictures stitched together in Photoshop. It is a ten miniute walk from the car park and I spotted these two lizards on the way.
When I got back to Page I arrived just in time for a school parade through the town. 244 digita limages in the day.
