A trip to Chester Zoo using the Nikon D200 with several lenses. Some images have been enhanced in Photoshop (PS) in that wire fencing has been cloned out, backgrounds blurred and in some cases as a result of requests by the animals I have placed them in rather different environments!. Click on the image for a larger pic. All images are hand held and all are cropped in some way.

Now for the next few pictures the original images have been popped into different environments! First there was the Hyacinthine Macaw who told me he'd always wanted to visit the area where the Jaguars live. Well - as the Jaguars were enjoying their Chicken Curry lunch I thought I would oblige! As for the Capuchin monkeys well they were sitting on outside shelves of their 'zoo house' so I thought I would move them to Coronation Street!

In all previous visits to Chester Zoo I had never seen the Lemurs before. They live on an island well away from the visitors. Today I was lucky to see them enjoying themselves leaping about the trees.

While all his mates were enjoying a lovely afternoon swim in the warm water this little chap kept on going to the edge and just would not jump in. It took him almost ten minutes before he was persuaded by one of his friends who showed him what to do!
