The
contrast range in this church in Olney was far too great for either film or a
digital camera so this image is a composite of several exposures. The exposure
for the stain glass window was 1/350 2.8. For some of the darker areas the exposure
was 1/45 at f2.8. A third exposure was taken at 1/60 at 2.8. The camera set on
MANUAL was hand held and just the shutter speed adjusted without moving the camera
. The focal length was about 35mm . In Photoshop each image was put in a separate
layer and slight adjustments had to be made to line up the images. Masks were
added to two of the layers . Ideally a tripod would have helped lineup the images.
