Powell pulls Cork for 4 before the Lancashire bowler gets his revenge by clean bowling the Warwickshire opener for 27. 4 for 41.
Cork claimed the 5th wicket at 46 when Parker was caught behind by Sutton for 16

The poor old Warwickshire skipper Ambrose had the misfortune to slip while facing a ball from Newby. The Lancashire fielders thought they had a good shout for a wicket. Their appeal was turned down

When Thomas was caught at first slip for 12 off Chapple Warwickshire were all out for 106 - a combination of bad batting and good bowling.
Lancashire put on 44 for the first wicket before Chilton was caught off a mistimed shot by Thomas off Anyon for 18.

Lancashire finished the day on 156 for 4 . Next day Lancashire were 311 all out and Warwickshire in their second innings reached 272 leaving Lancashire 68 to win and go top of the table. They knocked off the runs with nine wickets to spare before tea on the third day.
