This was too easy. The incredible weather the previous evening leading to the postponement of the game reduced the number of visiting supporters not that would have made any difference to this rearranged game. It was so one sided and could have ended up with several more goals for City. An early well taken goal for Aguero gave City a lift and then the penalty saw City very comfortable at half time. Bravo had only one shot to save all game and was hardly tested on his home debut. Another debut was by Gundagon who looked very comfortable in his first match. You could see why we signed him though he was injured at the time. Kevin De Bruyne was splendid as usual and Fernandinho once again worked his socks off in midfield.
Aguero completed his hat-trick in the second half and Iheanacho added a fourth late on. The defence kept a clean sheet not that they were really tested.
Full marks to the Borussia fans for staying on after the cancellation yesterday.
There were still a few gaps in the stadium at kick-off
Conditions were horrendous last evening and I know as I drove through it!
City made a few changes from the United win- Zabaleta,Gundogan and Navas coming in
City were quick to attack gaining a corner which was cleared
Then on 8 minutes Kolarov got to the ball quickly and crossed
Aguero beat the defender to the near post and shot past the keeper to give City the lead much to the delight of the South Stand- at least the City fans!
Aguero suspended for Premier League games had notched yet another good goal and he thanked Kolarov for the cross
It was an excellent start and the team went into their usual huddle!
On 12 minutes Gundogan had a good chance but Sommer saved the day for the visitors
Sommer has to punch clear
Aguero goes down and I thought it was a penalty but the ref looks unsighted - what about the extra official!
Fernandinho shoots over the bar on 14 minutes
Another narrow escape as the effort is blocked
Stones has a go at goal at a corner
Surely this looks promising
Pep has a word with Stones!
Alas no goal this time!
Otamendi fails to connect at a City corner
A dangerous cross evades everybody and City escape
Oh dear! Is Aguero hurt! Well he's back on quite quickly
27 minutes on the clock and Kramer brings down Gundogan just inside the area
The ref points to the spot and Aguero takes the penalty
Sommer goes the wrong way and City are two up - excellent!
Congratulations all round!
No problems with Gundogan on his debut
Sommer is kept busy
Nearly half time and Bravo has to make a save from Stindl - his first!
Sommer in action early in second half
Goodness me! Bravo has to make a catch!
Sommer blocks but the ball runs to Sterling......
....who passes to Aguero but his effort is saved by the keeper
Sommer is continually in action with City piling on the pressure
Bravo is positioned well out of the penalty area
Sommer saves from Aguero
Zabaleta shoots over the bar
Pep in action!
Kolarov shoots over from a free kick
This looks good - Sterling is away on his own ....
...but Sommer saves for a corner
Now it's Navas on the attack
The cross reaches Aguero but Sommer manages to save
Aguero is off again.....
Aguero rounds the keeper and shoots....
....and scores to get his hat-trick to the delight of the Family Stand
Bravo has to punch away an attack
That's his 9th goal in 5 games
Gundagon gets a hug from Pep as he gets subbed
Sane is now on for Sterling
Sane jinks past several defenders before giving Iheanacho ( on for Aguero) a chance to shoot past Sommer for number 4
A good finish to the game
I popped in a bit of lightning as a reminder of the night before!
