City 6 Southampton 1
November 4th 2018 att.53,916
Yet another impressive City team performance cracking six past Southampton and putting them back on top of the Premier League. City attacked with real energy and were two up in no time .A Sane cross ended up in the visitors net after just six minutes put in by Hoedt under pressure from Sterling. Shortly after Aguero netted from close range thanks to good work by Sterling. It was his 150th Premier goal for City in 217 games. David Silva added a third after just 18 minutes so would we get ten! Then we had a blip when Ederson conceded a penalty and they scored putting an end to City's run of 630 minutes without conceding a goal in the Premier league. Sterling made it 4-1 just before half time and added another in the second half to make it five. Sane finished it off with a sixth in added time and it was the 12th time City had scored five or more under Pep in a single game.
It could have been more if all chances had been taken. I'm sure the watching English manager would have been delighted with the form of Sterling. The defence made one or two errors for once and Ederson actually had to make a couple of saves! So we did not miss Kevin today and lets hope we can keep this form up in the next couple of crucial games.
Having made 10 changes for the League Cup game City were back to their first team - only one change from the Spurs away game Sane coming in for Mahrez
