May 2018
Well the result was nothing like the one in 1987 when City won 10-1! Since then Huddersfield have thwarted City on several occasions - City having failed to score in 4 previous games against the visitors from Yorkshire since 1987! Today was no exception and with City already Champions and Huddersfield fighting against relegation it was a tough match with very few clear cut chances. City had huge possession especially in the second half but hardly managed a shot that counted. I suppose the idea that the presentation was to follow the game had an effect on the City side that was below par on the day.
We were hoping a few records would be broken today but at least we have two more games to sort that out! For once De Bruyne was well below his best and with Huddersfield packing their defence City failed with many key passes. With Yaya Toure about to leave at the end of the season I expect we shall see him against Brighton so we can give him a special farewell.
One of the Police horses left a message!
Ederson gets some pre-match practice
Now there is some musician -

A well worked free kick by Huddersfield gave Hadergjonj a chance despite the high defensive City wall...
..but he shot at Ederson who saved
On 13 minutes De Bruyne had a good effort but it went just wide
On 20 minutes Pritchard has a good effort from outside the box and Ederson has to make a fine save
Good to see Zaba in the directors box
...and the England manager was there too!
A dangerous cross from Jesus is cleared
A shot from Lowe goes wide - thank goodness
Lossi saves from De Bruyne
our extra defender in action!
Jesus heads over from close range!
Ah the secret sniper been at it again just before half time
David Silva gives Zaba a hug as the teams come out for the second half
Ederson has some work to do early in the second half
Huddersfield have a narrow escape when Lossi fails to get the ball....

Smith is booked for time wasting
Stones has a shot blocked at a corner
Silva and Depoitre go head-to-head!
Lossi in action again
Just past the post yet again!
It's getting near time and we've not scored!
Malone got on a beak but he could not finish and Ederson cleared
Lossi has an easy catch to make
Depoitre beats Otamendi.....
...but he fails to make the most of it and City clear
We are in added time and Jesus passes to Otamendi but his shot goes just wide!
The City fans show their frustration
Oh dear we have someone on the pitch........
Hurrah - they have got him
He is marched off to jail for 5 years and forced to watch Stoke City
There goes the final whistle -let the fun begin
The two managers say their farewells
The Huddersfield fans applaud their teams effort today
Despite being told not to the City fans rush onto the pitch
How did this chap get over the barrier!!!
more and more gather in front of the stand

We now wait for the presentation to start
There is music to keep us happy while we wait
